Membership in ADARA is open to
anyone interested in services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing people, and
those who support the goals, mission, and intent of the organization.
Categories are regular, student, and retired. ADARA dues are tax
deductible.
Membership includes, but is not limited to, rehabilitation personnel,
program administrators and coordinators, mental health workers,
educators, social workers, interpreters, students, hearing aid
personnel, secretaries, lawyers, audiologists, speech therapists,
physicians, psychologists, medical personnel, organizations and other
specialists in the field. ADARA is also of interest to many parents
and laypersons who work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing persons.

newsletter, covering professional news, organizational activities,
legislative updates, notices of professional meetings, and job
openings.
- JADARA, a professional journal
sharing new procedures, thoughts, and research with application to
the working professional.

- Biennial national ADARA conferences.
Conferences focus on multi-dimensional and multi-disciplinary
issues and topics. Conferences provide opportunities to acquire
and exchange new information and skills as well as opportunities
to network with professionals from across the country.
- Workshops and training opportunities
are provided usually between conference years. These workshops are
held either at the national, regional, or local level. Workshops
are usually an outcome of special interest needs of the
professional sections or focus on a timely issue. Workshops or
conferences may be co-sponsored with another organization or
institution.
- Provision of information about deafness
and hearing loss to the public and to the professionals in the
field. Information to various groups on topics related to
deafness and hearing loss through speeches, correspondence,
workshops, and other means.
- Assistance and guidance are
provided to groups who wish to make their services available to
persons who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Networking with other
professional organizations to coordinate efforts on behalf of
persons who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

National Office or a member of the Executive Board.
