WIOA: ​​The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act

WIOA is landmark legislation that is designed to strengthen and improve our nation's public workforce system and help get Americans, including youth and those with significant barriers to employment, into high-quality jobs and careers and help employers hire and retain skilled workers.

Niche Deaf Job Board Listing

DeafJobWizard.com is a niche-oriented job board that only list deaf-related jobs in various job categories for both deaf and hearing job seekers. More specifically, DeafJobWizard.com lists jobs in vocational rehabilitation, mental health/behavioral health, deaf education and interpreting, or any other deaf-related jobs in multiple employment categories. All jobs posted are vetted before posting. Virtually all of the job ads listed in there require fluency in American Sign Language (ASL). 

NAD: National Association of the Deaf Position Statements

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) has produced numerous of ​position statements in many areas such as American Sign Language (ASL), advocacy, mental health, deaf education, and technology. These position statements fit ADARA's mission in excellence in service delivery with individuals who are ​deaf and hard of Hearing.

NCMHDI: The National Coalition on Mental Health and Deaf Individuals

​The NCMHDI provides leadership and support in the areas of public mental health and deaf and hard of hearing populations in the United States. The NCMHDI is committed to expanding the participation of consumers/survivors in all aspects of our work. In addition, the Coalition offers technical assistance to state mental health departments who are interested in developing or modifying mental health systems of care to provide their deaf and hard of hearing populations with culturally and linguistically appropriate care.
